Elaine was passionate about life. She loved Herington, local history and the Railers. She was a classmate of my mother and they had lots of fun at the reunions. I remember working with Elaine at City Hall a couple of summers. When you worked with her, you learned to do things right. She will be dearly missed by this community.

I will miss Elaine at bowling and church. I went on bowling trips with her and was her roommate. She helped us many times with counting at church.
So sorry to be out of town this weekend and will not be able to tell her goodbye.

Elaine was a one of a kind lady and her passing will effect many people. I have a lot of memories of talks we have had in the years but most of all the memories I have of bowling on a team with her back in the mid 70's. Rest in Peace my friend!

I hadn't seen Elaine since I moved away many years ago. But I do recall whenever I would go to the city office, she was always friendly, funny, and had a smile. My deepest sympathy to Jim and Barb and family.

We were able to meet Elaine, through sports and she traveled quite a few miles with us going to games, we always had quite the times. She was quite the fan and the boys always enjoyed having her behind the bench cheering them on during basketball season. I think one thing our boys will always remember is the night they gave her flowers before a basketball game , I know they loved her being their biggest fan and wanted to show her what she meant to them.
Elaine, you will be missed by all but never forgotten by those who knew and loved you.

Rest in Peace, Elaine. We will miss seeing you at HHS. Your support of the Railers was a thing of beauty. Many of us could learn from your unconditional love of the student/athletes we have the honor to work with.

I can remember Elaine from as far back to when I was a little girl growing up on So. 8th St. She was always coming and going. Many a time I saw leave the house with her bowling bag in hand. Elaine always had a smile and was always joking around. The last time I saw her, she was working the front desk at the City office during lunch time (a couple years ago), Elaine you will be missed. Rest in peach.

While I reflect back on all the wonderful memories of Elaine one if her last comments to me comes to mind we were at church and she taps me in the shoulder and says "I started at 7:00 this morning and I'm finally here !!" No matter how long or difficult the task to her she never gave up a lesson we all could follow. Rest with the Angels dear one...

To the family of Elaine, she was a tough lady and a staple in our community. I believe she had the record for number of years bowled. She was in our ladies league this last season and continued through her illnesses to come and bowl. I was in awe of this. We will miss seeing her in the community. Good-bye Elaine, it has been so good to know you.

We are so sorry for your loss. Grandma Elaine will be missed by many. May she bowl a 300 in heaven - whenever it thunders, we'll know she's rolling that ball and knocking pins down. :)
Hugs and our sympathy to Jim, Barb, Meaghan, Jenny & li'l Daniel, with love from the Osborn's.
