Memories & Condolences

Why did Jesus speak of death as a sleep? Because a sleeping person is inactive. During deep sleep, there is no consciousness of surroundings or of the passing of time. There is no pain or suffering. Similarly, in death there is no activity or consciousness. But the comparison goes further. With sleep, one expects to wake up. And that is exactly the hope that the Bible offers for the dead.

Just wanted to let you know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers latetly Jana. I hope that you and your family find the peace and comfort you all deserve.

I have so many fond memories of our family in Herington. I remember Aunt Dee being so kind and loving to all.
I’m sure my parents remember, in the car, “Are we there yet?” Each time could not wait to get there.
My sympathy goes out to all of our family, for she will be missed by all so much.

Love you Aunt Dee.

My condolences. She had wonderful children, so she must have been a grand lady! My heart goes out to all the family and especially Jana, who will be lost without her Mom. Remember the good times always and she will live on, in your memories. Lyneva

Dee has been a part of my life for 54 years and although we haven't lived close to one another most of that time, her absence will leave a great void in our lives. She made Glenn so happy and given us wonderful nieces, nephews and greats. We continue to hold all of you in our hearts and know that-- one who has loved and been so loved will remain in all our hearts.

~ Jerry and Ruth Cozad - January 3, 2014

Dee was a second mom to me since my mother does not live close, Dee stepped in and took on a mothering role for me. What an inspiration she was! Her cooking was amazing and she always made me feel special. I will always remember her stories about the past people she has come in contact with and what fun they had. One particular one was when Glenn and Her had traveled to Quartsite (not sure about the spelling) and had a hoe down with some of the other campers on their instruments. She told how much singing and dancing and laughter they had all had.

She will be missed dearly but I will always carry a part of her in my heart.

Our heartfelt condolences Glenn, we cannot begin to understand what you must be going through right now, but we send our love, and our prayers for your entire family. Delores was such a sweet, kind lady, we loved her. We have many fond memories of her and she will be missed. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
