William "Bill" Reber
1945 - 2015

Wm. “Bill” Reber, 69, of Herington, died Tuesday, January 27th, 2015, at his home. He was born on June 18, 1945, at Mifflinburg, PA, the son of Isaiah Charles and Mary C. (McLlvain) Reber.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, February 4th, 2015, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 114 N. Eighth, Herington; with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington. Military Honors will be given by a Special Funeral Detail from Fort Riley.

Mr. Reber retired in 2009, as an over the road Semi-Truck Driver for more than thirty years. He loved to be outside, and working on automobiles. He served as a Specialist Fourth Class with the Service Battery, 8th Battalion, 6th Arterially, First Infantry Division, during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Mifflinburg High School with the class of 1963.

Married Diane Pascarello on April 10, 1993, at Herington; and to this union their daughter Audra (Fiancé-Justin Reardon), all of Herington. He is also survived by two (2) grandsons: Bentley Kniebel & Tucker Reardon.

Preceded in death by a brother Isaiah Reber, Jr. in 2000, two (2) sisters who died as infants, and his parents.

Memorials have been requested to the American Lung Association; and may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 South Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449-3038.
