OBITUARY for – Jesse J. Guillot, 82
Jesse J. Guillot, 82, of Salina, former resident of Herington, died Friday morning, December 19th, 2014, at Salina Regional Healthcare Center. He was born on December 24th, 1931, at Marksville, Louisiana , the son of Gustav and Anne (Lewis) Guillot.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 27th, 2014, at the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, 2115 S Chicago, Salina; where Mr. Guillot will lie in state from 9am until 10am Saturday. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, at 3pm Saturday, with military honors. The family will receive friends Friday, December 26 th, from 4pm until 10pm at the Emmanuel Four Square Church, 1325 E Cloud, Salina.
Mr. Guillot retired from the City of Salina’s Water Department. He worked as a mechanic for Obermeyer Chevrolet & Oldsmobile, Herington; and then for the City of Herington’s Water Department prior to moving to Salina in 1973. He was also an active member of ISIS Shrine. He served in U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.
He married Charlene F. Brown on February 27, 1952, in Abilene; she survives of the home. Survived by a son David Guillot (wife-Rachel) of Salina; three (3) daughters: Vickie Guillot Wilson (husband-Sam) and Olivia Price (husband-Keith) both of Salina, and Dee-Ann Spencer (husband-Charles) of Kansas City, MO; a sister Florence Fairley of Alexandra, LA; nine (9) grandchildren; and seven (7) great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Kathy Ann Guillot, age 25 months, of August 26, 1955; two (2) brothers: Ernest & Alton; a sister Edna Mae Clark; and his parents.
