OBITUARY FOR – Wilma M. “Pill” Meskimen, 83
Wilma “Pill” Meskimen, 83, of Herington, died Saturday, April 13th, 2013, at the Hilltop Lodge of Beloit. She was born on August 26, 1929, at her grandparent’s home near Onaga, the daughter of C.F. “Slim” and Tressie P. (Burdette) Florence.
Mrs. Meskimen was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and bowling; and she and her husband especially enjoyed square dancing. She graduated from Onaga High School with the class of 1947, and then completed her business degree from Clark Business College, Topeka.
She married Dean M. Meskimen on February 21, 1951, at Onaga; he preceded in death on December 10, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Marsha on January 31, 1997; a brother Wayne Florence; and her parents.
She is survived by a son Dale Meskimen (wife-Ann) of Lincoln, NE, a daughter Marla Catlin (husband-Todd) of Beloit, a sister Deanie Fager of Onaga, two (2) brothers: Marion Florence of Lincoln, KS, and Lyle Florence of Topeka, seven (7) grandchildren, and four (4) great grandchildren.
