Nina Ruth Ingels, 96, of Chanute, formally of rural Savonburg, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Chanute HealthCare.
Nina Ruth was born in Neosho County, KS on September 23, 1916, the daughter of Baulser C. and Nola (Wheatley) Breiner. She graduated from Chanute High School and attended Parsons Business College.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Ingels on December 31, 1938. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2009.
She was homemaker, lifelong member of the Leanna Christian Church, and a fifty year member of the Allen County Hospital Auxillary. She loved working outdoors and tending her rose gardens.
She is survived by one son, Mark Ingels and his wife Susan, of Savonburg; one daughter, Janis Stockebrand and her husband H.H. of Savonburg; one son-in-law, David Fewins of Humboldt; three grandsons, Cleat Stockebrand and his wife Alece of Savonburg, James Fewins and his wife Elizabeth of Sparks, NV, and Phillip Fewins and his wife Jessie of Chanute; two granddaughters, Becky Colding of Savonburg, and Angela Stanley and her husband Dustin, of Chanute; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mina Jane Ingels of Raymore, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; one son, Phillip Keith Ingels; and one daughter, Pamela Fewins; and a brother, Samuel P. Breiner.
A private family service will be held on Sunday afternoon at Leanna Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Hidden Haven Church Camp and may be left with the funeral home.
