Gregory James Trapp, 58, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1957 in Herington, the son of James Trapp, and Wanda Mae (Martin) Trapp.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, August 22nd, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends at a visitation, Friday evening, August 21st, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel.
Greg attended St. John Catholic School until 7th grade. He graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1975 and went on to attend Emporia State University for 2 years. He married his wife, Rose Bina on May 8, 1985, in Wichita Kansas. Greg worked for McCray Lumber Company the last 5 years. He was an avid Kansas University Basketball fan and Notre Dame football fan.
He is survived by his wife Rose of the home in Lee’s Summit, MO, two brothers, Mike Trapp and his wife Christine of Herington; Quinn Trapp and his wife Julie of Marion; and a sister Debbie Beam and husband Dave of Herington. He loved and followed the lives of over 100 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Father, James Joseph Trapp, November 2, 1989, and his Mother, Wanda Mae Trapp January 23, 2004.
