Richard G. Thomas, 72, of Herington, died Monday, July 6th, 2015, at his home. He was born March 5th, 1943, at Newton, the son of Clifford R. and Edith D. (Anduss) Thomas.

Mr. Thomas received his Master’s Degree in Library Science from Emporia State University, and was Librarian at Herington High School until he retired on September 2001. He also had a degree in history from Emporia State University.

Married Vickii L. Albers on June 1st, 1968, in Sioux Falls, SD, she survives of the home. He is survived by a son Patrick Thomas (wife-Rari) of Herington, grandchildren Cheyenne Tracy & Tyler Tracy (wife-Miranda), and great grandson Braxton; a sister Toni Howell (husband-Frank) of Hutchinson; and brothers: Don Thomas (wife-Nancy) of ElDorado, Ron Thomas (wife-Kelley) of Wichita, and Jim Thomas (wife-Terri) of Larned.
