Harvey O. Kickhaefer, 92, lifelong resident of rural White City, died Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. He was born on the family farm on Sunday, June 4, 1922, rural White City, the son of Arnold August and Hilda Wilhelmine Louse (Gruber) Kickhaefer.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 30thst, 2015, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Latimer, with Pastor King Crawford officiating; burial will be at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington. A Prayer Service will be held Friday 7pm at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.
Mr. Kickhaefer was a lifelong famer. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where he was baptized and confirmed. He loved his baseball, and played Short-Stop and Third Base.
He is preceded in death by two (2) his sisters: Esther Leonard and Fern Weber, and his parents.
He is survived by his brother Roy Kickhaefer of White City, his sister Lillie Vahsholtz of Herington, and many nieces and nephews.
