Cleo “Junior” Herman, 80, of Herington, died Thursday, April 30th, 2015, at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. He was born Friday, November 2nd, 1934 in Ramona, the son of Cleo “Crab” Sr. and Ila C (Bevan) Herman.
The family is planning a Private Memorial Service at a later date. The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, is assisting the family with cremation plans.
Mr. Herman worked for Glenda Gas Company. Graduated from Lost Springs High School with the class of 1952. Served is the U.S. Army as a SP3(T), with the Transportation Corp.
Married Glenda Rose Adams-Weber on May 10, 1974, at Council Grove; she preceded in death on May 11, 1984. He is also preceded in death by his brother Tim Herman (06/24/2009), his father Cleo “Crab” Herman (08/17/1985) , and his mother Ila Herman (07/27/1997).
He is survived by his four (4) step-daughters: Rhea “Diane” Essery and Audra Robb both of Salina, Rami Weber of Raytown, MO, and Laurie Smith of Manhattan, KS; two (2) sisters: Gloria Hall of Aurora, CO, and Joyce Mascareno of Herington; five (5) grandchildren; and five (5) great grandchildren.
