Edna (Matthews) Schultz, 94, of Herington, died Friday, April 10th, 2015, at the
Medicalodges of Herington. She was born on November 16, 1920, south of Carlton, the daughter of John Henry and Clara A. (Falen) Matthews.
Mrs. Schultz worked twenty years for the Herington Police and Fire Departments as a dispatcher. She and her husband enjoyed camping and belonged to the Kansas
Campers (the Bug Beaters), and the National Campers and Hikers Assn. for more than twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; Raymond G. Smith, on Sept. 27, 1956. She is also preceded in death by her five brothers; Ralph Matthews, Robert Matthews, James Matthews, Richard Matthews, Lester Matthews, two sisters; Edith Translavina, Laura Greenfield, and her parents.
She married William “Bill” F. Schultz on July 25, 1958, at the First Baptist Church. He survives of Herington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
