OBITUARY – Albert “Al” J. Shade, 74
Albert John Shade, Jr., of Burdick, 74, died Monday morning at the Diversicare in Council Grove. He was born June 10, 1940, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Albert J. and Ruth N. (Ford) Shade. He was a retired roofer and had worked in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine “Lee” Shay-Shade of Burdick, three children; Albert Shade, III, and Nora Brown, of Council Grove, Billy Shade of Leavenworth, two brothers; Roy Shade of Council Grove, Mike Shade of Pennsylvania, 6 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and one step-great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by three step-children and his parents.
