Glenn E. Dale, Jr., 77, of Herington, died Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014, at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born on Saturday, January 23, 1937, at Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Glenn, Sr, and Velma (Wright) Dale.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, October 27th, 2014, at the First Christian Church, Herington, with Rev. Shawn Baird, officiating, assisted by Rev. Sherman Sack.
Mr. Dale was a retired Engineer from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Herington, and a past Deacon of the church. He served as local chairman of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He enjoyed traveling, golf, fishing, collecting rocks and enjoyed making crafts. He graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960.
He married Delores “Dee” A. Dresker on August 19, 1960, at Newkirk, OK; and she preceded in death on January 1st, 2014. He is also preceded in death by his father.
Survived by his son Brent Dale (wife-Darla) of Burlington, his daughter Jana Siegrist (husband-Jeff) of Herington, his mother Velma Dale-Spears of Rogers, Arkansas, a brother Robert “Bob” Dale of Bentonville, Arkansas, and two (2) sisters: Mary Deckard and Ruth Cozad (husband-Jerry) all of Bella Vista, Arkansas. He is also survived by six (6) grandchildren [Bethany Baldwin (husband-Matt), Vicki Partridge, Brittany Partridge, Sloan Siegrist, Taryn Siegrist, Paytn Siegrist], and three (3) great grandchildren [Ema Partridge-Davis, Jonah Coursen, Izabel Partridge].
