Delores M. Stroda, 81, of Herington, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Medicalodges of Herington. She was born Wednesday, March 8, 1933, the daughter of Albert Frank and Albina Elsie (Melcher) Bezdek.
Christian Mass will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, July 1st, 2014, at the St. John’s Catholic Church, Herington. Rosary will be held at 7pm Monday, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.
She retired from the Dreilings Dept. Store of Herington and worked five years
for the Lutheran Home, Inc. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church
and served on the Altar Society. She graduated from Lincolnville High School
with the class of 1951.
She married Dwayne Stroda, May 1, 1954, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Marion. He survives and is also survived by 3 sons: Darrell Stroda (wife-Laurie) of Pratt, Chuck Stroda (wife-Kim) of Abbottstown, PA, & Pat Carpenter (wife-Kathryn) of Oceanside, CA; 2 daughters: Pam Suenram (husband-Bill) of Salina & Mary Schroeder (husband-Gordon) of Herington; a sister Faye Makovec (husband-Jerry) of Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
